day 20

old journals

I have a number of assorted notebooks for writing things down but I don't think it always counts as journaling. I made a big effort to keep my grad school memories organized, and I recently broke the spine to the journal they were in so I could transfer them to a binder instead.

Moving journal pages from one book to another is something I've experimented with a few times over the years. It's harder to store journals when they're bulky (it's hard to store them at all...), and I think I've landed on binders being the final resting place. Because I can move pages around as it suits me. I've also concluded that plastic pocket page protectors aren't necessary and best saved for things that cannot be hole punched. They're not perfectly chronological but I've tried to at least arrange them by time period.

Of course the obvious question is why don't I just start with a binder to begin with. Well, I don't know! They aren't pleasant to write in even if it is far more convenient.
